Solar Solutions, Battery Storage and EV Charging Stations

Forsat Energy designs energy systems and installs certified products from its supplier partners. Solar modules, hybrid inverters, storage systems and charging stations: our range meets every need, from a single-family home to an industrial site of several megawatt-hours. Only equipment that meets Canadian and Quebec requirements is selected.

Our solutions: the right answer to every challenge

How a complete solar system works

The principle is the same for a home, a commercial building or an industrial site; the size and configuration of the equipment vary.

  1. GenerationThe solar panels generate direct current.
  2. ConversionThe hybrid inverter converts it into alternating current and routes the energy.
  3. On-site consumptionThe distribution panel supplies the building’s loads first, including the charging station.
  4. Storing the excessThe excess recharges the battery, which also provides backup power.
  5. Exporting the surplusThe remaining surplus is fed into the Hydro-Québec grid; the building buys electricity from it as needed.

Solar photovoltaic energy

To counter rising energy costs

A solar photovoltaic system lets you generate part of your electricity, on site, for decades.

  • Less electricity purchased from the grid, since part of your needs is met by your own production
  • Reduced exposure to successive increases in electricity and natural gas rates
  • Concrete support for your energy efficiency targets
  • A stronger ESG record and a more attractive property
  • Measured results: energy produced, savings achieved and emissions avoided

Battery energy storage

To ride through outages and service interruptions

Paired with solar panels or on its own, a storage battery provides your backup power and smooths out your consumption.

  • Operations that keep running during outages, while others have to stop
  • An automatic switchover to backup power, at home and at work
  • More predictable energy costs from month to month
  • Power demand spread more evenly during high-demand periods
  • A real-time dashboard and reports that support your reporting obligations

Power management

To work within limited electrical capacity

When grid capacity is holding back your plans, power management and peak shaving free up room to grow.

  • An easier connection to obtain when the power requested from the grid is under control
  • Lower peak demand, backed by figures
  • The ability to add equipment or expand your facilities without waiting for a grid upgrade
  • A stronger position with Hydro-Québec when requesting additional power

Electric vehicle charging stations

To charge without overloading your electrical installation

  • At home: a charging station with load management, installed without upgrading the electrical service entrance
  • At work: electric vehicle charging integrated into the building’s existing infrastructure

An energy solution for every type of building

From the homeowner to the operator of an industrial site, every client has their own facilities, operating constraints and goals. Our systems are therefore configured case by case, whatever the sector and however complex the site.

What to remember

  • Hydro-Québec’s assistance is proportional to the installed capacity: the amount grows with the size of the system, up to the program’s cap.
  • Applications for Hydro-Québec assistance are filed after installation and connection authorization.
  • Hydro-Québec’s assistance covers the solar panels and the inverter, not battery storage.
  • Eligibility and stacking rules between programs are checked for each file.

The programs described above are presented for information purposes and reflect the terms published at the time of writing. They may be changed or ended without notice. The granting of financial assistance rests solely with the organization that administers it and is not guaranteed by Forsat Energy.

We prepare, file and follow up on your incentive applications

  • Verification of your project’s eligibility from the initial analysis
  • Integration of financial incentives into the profitability model
  • Preparation of supporting documents: installation certificate, technical data sheets and cost breakdown
  • Filing and follow-up of applications with the organizations concerned
  • Coordination with Hydro-Québec for connection authorization and net metering enrolment

Lease financing

Financing in the form of a lease may be granted by an entity affiliated with Forsat Energy, subject to certain conditions.

  • Leasing of energy equipment, subject to eligibility
  • A project that can be carried out with no down payment when the lease is granted
  • Fixed monthly payments, set with the expected savings in mind
  • Allocation of equipment-related risks set out in the contract
  • Project benefits available from commissioning, without waiting to raise the necessary capital
  • Terms, duration and conditions set case by case after analysis of the file

Financing is not guaranteed and remains conditional on the approval of the affiliated entity, the eligibility of the project and the agreed conditions.
